Community rallies for Baldivis family after house fire

THE community is rallying behind a family who lost everything in a fire in Baldivis yesterday.

A Gofundme page has been created and Baldivis MLA Reece Whitby’s office and Goodstart Early Learning’s Twilight Markets are collection points for donations.

The fire on Patron Road started at 10.30am and caused $420,000 damage to the house.

A vehicle worth $25,000 was written-off and a $20,000 motorbike was also destroyed.

St Johns Ambulance attended to assist two people, who made it out of the house safely along with two dogs.

To donate items call Mr Whitby’s office on 9523 2921 or attend the Goodstart Early Learning Twilight Markets on February 1 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at 276 Eighty Road, Baldivis.

Items needed include ladies clothes sizes 16 to 18, mens clothing extra large, bedding, home items, kitchen items and toiletries.
