The Act to Connect Program was a successful collaboration with City of Rockingham, who engaged CommunityWest to co-design and present workshops for staff and volunteers to become effective social connectors.

The aim of the program is to reduce loneliness, which can have a negative influence on people’s health, wellbeing and quality of life.

Act to Connect workshops enable staff and volunteers to assist people connect to places, events and pursuits, which give their lives meaning and purpose.

Additional strategic alliances have now been formed with Wanneroo, Joondalup and East Fremantle councils for the program to reduce disengagement.
