Cullen impresses with can-do attitude

Cullen Devene (11) selflessly spent the recent school holidays pounding the footpath, and front doors of his neighbours, to collect tinned food for St Vincent de Paul.

Through his school, Cullen and other students were encouraged to complete a small act of kindness, however he decided to go a step or two further.

"(Cullen) thought huge and organised a canned food drive and travelled the streets nearby, knocking on more than 70 doors," his mother Nivette told the Courier.

He then donated his collection of donated goods to St Vincent de Paul Kwinana president Abram Ziegelaar last Friday.

"Cullen wants to thank those who have donated, and hopes that what he's done will inspire others to donate to this cause," Mrs Devene said.
