Cyclist dies after crash

At 3.20pm, a 92-year-old man was riding his dark-coloured mountain bike on Read Street, travelling west from a service station on Chalgrove Avenue.

He was not wearing a helmet at the time he collided with a white Holden Cruze sedan that was being driven south along Read Street by an 86-year-old Port Kennedy man.

The cyclist suffered serious injuries and was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital. He died the next morning.
