On Saturday, April 5, she will host a doggie play date in the dog area at Peace Park in Parmelia from 10am for dog owners to let their dogs play together and meet other dog lovers for a small donation to the RSPCA.
‘Last year I asked friends and family to donate and sold some raffle tickets so I thought ‘what can I do this year?’,’ Ms Rance said.
‘I came up with the idea because my dog (Nelson, a one-year-old boxer) is very playful and loves other dogs.
‘(The dogs) can play and interact among themselves and the owners can chat.
‘There has been a good response so far and a number of people have said they’re keen.
‘Hopefully it’s not just me and my doggie who turn up.’
Anyone who can’t make it to the doggie date but would like to donate to the RSPCA can visit Ms Rance’s page on the Million Paws Walk website at https://mpw-wa|-2014.everydayhero.com/au/|the-rance-family.
