Drugs and weapons found in Secret Harbour raid

TWO people have been charged following a search on a Secret Harbour home yesterday afternoon that resulted in weapons and drugs being seized.

Detectives from Rockingham and Perth, and Rockingham Local Policing Team officers executed a search warrant on the Smith Break home at about 1:30pm yesterday, with two of three people present questioned in relation to two incidents earlier this month.

Police were investigating an unlawful wounding incident that took place on June 2, and a shooting incident on June 7, and during the search located and seized a homemade semi-automatic-style firearm loaded with 9mm ammunition, about 2.6g of methylamphetamine, 29.4g of cannabis and a sum of cash.

A 28-year-old Secret Harbour man was charged with possessing drug paraphernalia, possessing methylamphetamine, possessing an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, possessing unlawfully obtained property and having ready access to weapons and illegal drugs.

He is due to appear in the Mandurah Magistrates Court today.

A 25-year-old Secret Harbour woman was charged with intent to harm, and omitted to do or did an act which resulted in life, safety or health being endangered.

She will appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today.
