Mayor Barry Sammels said all photos would be judged equally on their composition and the communication of the Act-Belong-Commit message within this year’s theme of ‘standing strong together.’

“PhotoVoice is a fantastic competition that really highlights the level of talent amongst amateur photographers in the City of Rockingham,” he said.

“Entries in the Act-Belong-Commit PhotoVoice Rockingham Competition can produce a range of emotions for judges and viewers.

“The exhibition can often conjure up some groundbreaking ideas and depictions of how people look after their mental health, making it a must see in everyone’s calendar.”

Winners of the competition will be announced at an awards ceremony on October 10 at the Gary Holland Community Centre.

There are more than 20 different prize categories including $500 for first place and three Nikon D5600 DSLR cameras to be won.
