FEELING blue?

The new blue Mermaid Latte could be just the pick-up you need.

The superfood infused, healthy coffee is now available at Pengo’s Cafe in Shoalwater.

There’s a sea of reasons to try the Mermaid Latte and the fact that it’s blue is just the beginning.

Pengo’s Cafe Barista Christina Hjalmarsson said the arrival of the Mermaid Latte had an amazing response.

“This superfood latte has started replacing the daily grind of a morning caffeine hit for many of our health conscious locals and it’s great to offer a unique alternative that resonates with our beachside location,” she said.

“It’s a superfood drink of the ocean that would be considered the kale of mermaid diets, and contains herbs and minerals that support adrenal function and lower stress hormones.

“It’s a latte that actually helps you chill out.

“It’s certified organic and is gluten free, grain free, GMO free, sugar free, dairy free and can be enjoyed with any type of milk including dairy, soy and almond milk, all of which we offer at Pengo’s.”

What creates the Mermaid Latte’s rich ocean hue? Amazingly, only organic, natural and health benefiting ingredients including a delicious infusion of blue spirulina, sea minerals, coconut milk, manuka honey, ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, blue superfoods and adaptogenic herbs.

Miss Hjalmarsson said it tasted like an exotic sea inspired chai.

Available only from Pengo’s Cafe, Miss Hjalmarsson said the ecofriendly cafe made the perfect location to enjoy the new beverage.

“Pengo’s Cafe’s Mermaid Latte, brings the ocean to your cup with its dazzling marine blue colour, which is fitting as we’re located right on the stunning beaches of Shoalwater Islands Marine Park, right across from Penguin Island,” she said.

“Exclusive to Pengo’s Cafe, we welcome everyone to come and try this enchanting blue elixir that seems to outswim its caffeinated counterpart in every healthy way!”
