Fire engulfs Cooloongup home causing $250,000 damage, authorities treating as suspicious

A SUSPICIOUS fire in Cooloongup caused about $250,000 in damage on Monday.

Fire services were called to the Shell Close house to attend to a vehicle fire, which began in the carport before spreading throughout the home about 3.20am.

The fire was believed to be suspicious with arson squad detectives investigating.

Nobody was injured in the fire.
