BALDIVIS resident Mina Sikora is delighted that the worldwide sensation parkrun event will make its Baldivis debut on Saturday, August 11.
The Tamworth Wetlands parkrun is a 5km run starting at 8am.
Parkrun events are free, weekly, timed runs held in parklands throughout the world and run by volunteers.
They are open to everyone and there is no pressure to run a marathon if a leisurely stroll is more your cup of tea.
The Baldivis run is on the corner of Safety Bay and Nairn Drive.
Ms Sikora usually attends the parkrun held at the Rockingham foreshore.
“I go for the community atmosphere, to get fit and I do come with my friends so there is that social interaction,” she said.
“It’s good that you can go at your own pace.
“They are fun and it’s good now to have one at home.”
