THE first section of the two-part upgrade of Mandurah Road and Safety Bay Road intersection works is almost complete.

The approach lanes north of the roundabout are scheduled to be completed and re-opened to traffic by tomorrow .

However, the southbound lane of Mandurah Road between Safety Bay Road and Tincombe Grove is set to be closed to traffic this week and a sign-posted detour will be in place along Safety Bay Road, Eighty Road and Pike Road.

Following completion of the exit lanes south of the roundabout, these lanes will be re-opened to traffic under appropriate traffic management by about Friday May 27.
