Fourth liquor store planned in Secret Harbour

A FOURTH liquor outlet within a 300m stretch of Secret Harbour could be built, pending approval from a South West Joint Development Assessment Panel (JDAP).

Dan Murphy’s has applied to build a liquor store in the Secret Harbour shopping centre extension, which would add to existing nearby outlets BWS and Cellarbrations, and the Whistling Kite pub.

Councillors will vote to adopt a responsible authority report for the application of the shop, provided the JDAP resolves a number of issues.

Cr Chris Elliott said the planning and engineering services committee had a duty to approve applications provided they meet compliance and regulations, as the liquor store proposal had done.
