FRIENDS of Parmelia 24-year-old Matthew Kyle Fisher-Turner have started a Gofundme page to raise money for his funeral.

Major Crime Detectives uncovered Mr Fisher-Turner’s body in his Cromer Gardens back yard on October 27.

Mr Fisher-Turner’s father, sister and brother have been charged in relation to his murder.

The fundraising page Lay to rest Matthew Fisher-Turner had raised $7250 by Monday. Organiser Manda Kerr hoped to raise $20,000.

“This page is to raise funds for Fisher’s big farewell,” she said.

“We’re not asking for much but he has no one anymore and he would appreciate any type of sponsor to make sure he leaves us all with a big bang.”

Police claim Mr Fisher-Turner was murdered on or around October 1. They put out a missing person’s appeal on October 17.

Police were concerned because Mr Fisher-Turner had not made contact with family or friends since October 1.

There were a number of calls to police in relation to Mr Fisher-Turner’s disappearance.

On Thursday, October 27, Major Crime Detectives searched his house and found his body.

Mr Fisher’s father Ernest Albert Fisher (65) appeared in Rockingham Magistrates Court on Friday charged with murder. He was not required to enter a plea and was remanded in custody to appear in Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court on November 30.

Mr Fisher-Turner’s sister Hannah Jayde Fisher-Turner (19) and brother Joshua Douglas Fisher-Turner (26) also appeared in court charged with one count each of accessory after the fact to murder. Both were remanded in custody to appear in Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court on November 30.
