More than 400 guests – a quarter of whom were in wheelchairs – attended the event, which was entirely funded by donations.
The event was designed to cater for all ages and levels of accessibility.
People as young as 18 and as old as 90 attended.
The Carnivale-inspired event featured a DJ, photo booth and a henna tattoo artist.

“A large number of the residents who attended the party don’t move off site very often, if at all, so for them, it was a real treat to get out and about – particularly to a location near the water – and celebrate in style,” she said.
“There were certainly some unique challenges to overcome… However, it was all worth it when we saw just how much joy it brought to both our clients and their carers and support staff.”
