ROCKINGHAM resident Lyn Leeder is fundraising for the Bumi Sehat Birthing Clinic in Bali.

She has organised a morning tea to inform residents about the Merging Midwives Project.

The initiative helps Indonesian midwives build their professional skills and improve the quality of healthcare for Indonesian women.

Next month two Indonesian midwives will travel to Perth to undertake a two-week cross-cultural learning program.

A presentation about the program will be held at Koorliny Arts Centre in Kwinana on September 17 at 10.30am.

Funds raised from the event go towards equipment needed at Bumi Sehat, the Birthing Clinic in Ubud.
