FUNDRAISING efforts for a Parmelia girl who suffers from life threatening hypoglycaemia will take on a bogan feel this Friday when the Darius Wells Centre hosts Kenahdy’s Bogan Bingo.

Five-year-old Kenahdy Bainbridge has been accepted by Smart Pups to receive a hypoglycemic medical assistance and seizure dog, but needs to raise $20,000 to pay for the training and preparation.

The specially trained dog can detect when her blood sugar levels are low and will alert Kenahdy so she can take appropriate action.

Kenahdy undergoes continuous testing at Princess Margaret Hospital for her condition and has been the subject of a number of hospital visits during her short life.

As well as struggling with hypoglycaemia, it is suspected Kenahdy also suffers from an undiagnosed medical condition.

With the support of local businesses, the Bogan Bingo Night on Friday will look to raise the money required to help improve Kenahdy’s life.

If you would like to make a donation, you can visit Kenahdy’s gofundme page.
