DOG and animal lovers are set to have a ball on October 15 for the Furry Friend Fun Day.

City of Rockingham residents are invited to the Rockingham Dog Club at Bungaree Oval from 10am-12.30pm to indulge their fur children in a range of activities including discounted micro-chipping for $35 cash.

Other activities include a mobile dog wash, photo props, show bags, pet-related market stalls, a sausage sizzle and coffee van.

Mayor, Barry Sammels expected it to be a great day out for pet owners.

“If your furry best friend is not yet micro-chipped, this is a great opportunity to bring them along to the Furry Friend Fun Day,” he said.

“Meet the Rangers, get information about registration renewal and get to know the City’s off leash dog exercise areas, while socialising your dog and enjoying a cuppa.”

He also reminded residents to renew their pet’s registration for its lifetime before 1 November 2017 to go into the draw to win 1 of five $100 vouchers donated by Pet City WA.

The Rockingham Dog Club is located at 1 Crater Place, Rockingham.
