German student Neele soaks up Australian culture on Rockingham Rotary Exchange program

NEELE Schluter (17) is part of an exchange program with the Rotary Club of Rockingham and has been embracing the Australian culture for nine months.

The Year 12 student from Germany has been attending Safety Bay High School.

Neele said a highlight of her stay was doing work experience with Rockingham Wild Encounters.

“I got to swim with sharks,” she said.

“I’ve also learned to surf.”

Neele was also lucky to visit New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory and Victoria.
