STUDENTS at Gilmore College were immersed in Shakespearean dialogue during a workshop hosted by Barking Gecko Theatre at the school last week.

The interactive workshop, dubbed a ‘Living Lecture’ on Shakespeare’s infamous Macbeth, focused on key scenes and plot points of the famous play.

A performance was given by both students and actors before the students then analysed the performances – giving them a deeper understanding of what Shakespeare had tried to impart through his play.

For many students it was their first introduction to ‘The Bard’ and the workshops showed the student how relevant those messages still are today.

The workshop was sponsored by Tianqi Lithium for year 10 and 11 Gilmore college students.
