Golden Bay man pleads guilty to possessing child exploitation material

A GOLDEN Bay man facing child exploitation material charges had his request to not have his charges read in open court denied by the Magistrate.

Gregory Thomas Crocker pleaded guilty to six charges when he appeared on September 15 at Rockingham Magistrates Court.

Before taking his guilty pleas Magistrate Vivien Edwards noted the request.

“There is a note not to read out the charges; they will be read out,” she said.

She then read out the charges stating that on July 10, at Golden Bay, Crocker possessed images and videos depicting children engaged in sexualised poses or activities.

The following five charges occurred at separate times from October 2016 to December 1, 2016 again at Golden Bay where Crocker had distributed material depicting children engaged in sexualised poses or activities.

He is set for fast track sentencing in the District Court on November 10 and a pre-sentence and psychological report were ordered.
