Gray blasts MacTiernan’s commentary

John Dobson, Weekend CourierWeekend Kwinana Courier

Many commentators see the disastrous State election as pointing to an equal or more devastating defeat in the September 14 federal poll, but Mr Gray said the State election was on local issues, not national ones.

‘This was an election fought, fairly and squarely on State issues like congestion and cost of living,’ he said. ‘But electors have quite a different set of choices at the federal election.’

Mr Gray criticised former Labor MLA and high-profile candidate Alannah MacTiernan for comments she made calling for Prime Minister Julia Gillard to step down because Labor was facing a massacre in September.
