Hillman man faces string of drug and firearms charges after police search home

A BIG haul of drugs, guns, weapons and cash was seized after a raid at a Hillman house yesterday .

Rockingham detectives’ Proactive Team officers searched a house on Bolaro Place and claim they found 80g of methylamphetamine, 2g of cocaine, 5g of cannabis, 10 dexamphetamine tablets, drug paraphernalia and a cannabis plant.

They also found a loaded single shot handgun, numerous .22 calibre and shotgun rounds, an extendable taser and a hunting sling shot.

Police seized an amount of cash, mountain bikes, a telescope, jewellery, a portable fridge/freezer, a portable vehicle awning and snow skis.

A 43-year-old man from Hillman has been charged with possessing prohibited drugs with intent to sell/supply, ready access to both weapons and drugs and two counts of aggravated possessing a firearm, possessing unlicensed ammunition, three counts of possessing a prohibited weapon, two counts of unlawful possession, two counts of possessing a prohibited drug and possessing drug paraphernalia.

He is due to appear at Rockingham Magistrates Court today .
