Hillman: suspicious house blaze causes $250,000 damage

A FIRE at a home in Hillman that caused about $250,000 damage last night was believed to have been deliberately lit.

Fire fighters received reports of the Bibanup Court blaze in the outer southern Perth suburb about 11.50pm.

A Department of Fire and Emergency spokesman said it took crews about half an hour to bring the blaze under control.

He said the fire was suspicious.

It was not known where the blaze started in the home.
