HOMICIDE detectives investigating the disappearance of a 59-year-old Medina woman have found human remains in bushland.
The remains are thought to be those of Dianne Barrett, who was reported missing in May last year.
A spokesman for WA Police said: “While the human remains have not been formally identified, it is believed they are those of Ms Barrett.

READ NOW“Ms Barrett’s family have been advised of the development,” he added.
“The discovery was made in bushland off Nettleton Road, Karrakup.”
A man in his 50s is currently in custody, assisting with the investigation.
Concerns were raised by a neighbour on May 24, 2019 after he noticed he had not seen her for some time.
Since then police have since been conducting inquiries, including contacting known friends and family.
Inquiries established that Ms Barrett had visited Bunnings in Rockingham on the corner of Patterson Road and Pedlar Circuit at around 7pm on May 11. This was the last confirmed sighting of her.
