KWINANA residents plan to host a candlelight vigil for murdered teenager Aaron Pajich.

The teenager’s remains were found at an Orelia property yesterday days after he went missing.

Today, members of the community posted on Facebook that they were organising the vigil.

Matt Ox Vince wrote, “Kwinana…. we’re a tight community, the best I’ve lived in. No doubts by now you have heard the sad news of one of our own passing in horrific circumstances”.

“I would like to hold a candlelit vigil… to let the family of Aaron Pajich know that they’re not alone and that Kwinana is standing with them,” he wrote.

“Thanks for your time and it would be great to see as many people as we can there.”

A GoFundMe page has also been set up to help pay for Aaron’s funeral.

A family member asked people to donate to the account instead of buying flowers.

Lian Kerton, who set up the GoFundMe, wrote on the page “at 18 years of age Aaron’s life was devastatingly taken”.

“An innocence taken advantage of and forever taken from this world,” she wrote.

“Please support the Sweetman/Pajich families in helping with the funeral to lessen some of the stress at this horrible time.”

The vigil will take place tomorrow at Kwinana council, on the corner of Sulpher Road and Gilmore Avenue.

Attendees are asked to bring their own candles.
