Kwinana: man brutally assaulted after driver flashes lights at him

KWINANA Police are investigating an alleged assault that happened in Kwinana Beach on July 6.

Police allege the victim and a friend were driving a red Hyundai i30 GD series from Rockingham to Perth.

As they were driving they noticed a silver Hyundai travelling very close behind them and flashing the headlights on high beam.

The man stopped his vehicle for a red light at the intersection of Thomas and Rockingham Roads in Kwinana Beach when a man from the other vehicle exited the silver Hyundai which had also stopped.

The victim exited his car and a verbal exchange took place before the 35-year-old victim was assaulted, receiving facial injuries.

Police would like to speak to anyone who saw the incident, particularly a man in a work vehicle who stopped to assist the victim.
