A LEDA woman climbed on to a roof before being arrested and charged with a string of offences after leading police on a chase through Belmont last night.
About 11pm, police saw a red Holden Captiva run a red light at the corner of Hardy Road and Great Eastern Highway.
Police alleged the driver failed to stop, before stopping only to start driving on the wrong side of the road.
About 10 minutes later, police located the stationery vehicle and pulled up alongside.
The driver then performed a U-turn, colliding with the police vehicle and causing minor damage.
Police lost sight of the vehicle but patrols soon located the car as the driver fled on foot.
The 24-year-old woman climbed on to the roof of a home on Chester Street in Belmont where she was arrested.
She has been charged with stealing, stealing a motor vehicle, reckless driving, wilfully misleading police and failure to supply blood for analysis.
She will face Perth Magistrates Court on July 8.
