Local Students Recognised For Year 12 Efforts

PORT Kennedy high achiever Megan McSeveney was awarded the Beazley Medal: Vocational Educational Training for her efforts at the Western Australian College of Agriculture in Harvey.

Her achievements include completing a Certificate II and III in Agriculture, Certificate II in Production Horticulture and Certificate II in Wool Handling.

Megan showed considerable application of VET in the workplace.

Many other local students were also recognised for their efforts in Year 12 in the School Curriculum and Standards Authority awards.

The awards are based on marks from five courses (including two courses each from the humanities/social sciences list and two from the mathematics/science list). The Authority award score highlights students’ breadth and depth of knowledge.
