Mr Schneider has lived in Rockingham for 30 years and started the page about five years ago, having since accumulated 8400 ‘likes’ after similar pages were started for other regional centres including Perth and Mandurah.
“I tried to find as many photos as I could and put them online to start the page,” he said.
“The big treasure trove of photos are in shoeboxes underneath beds in people’s homes who may have been living in the area for 60 years or so.”
