COMMUNITY movement Love Thy Neighbour is making a big difference in Rockingham.

Love Thy Neighbour involves recruiting volunteers to donate free community service hours to meet the needs of the neighbourhood in a practical way.

Volunteers can help with food hampers, youth events, house and yard renovations, community garden establishment and street cleans ups.

The latest initiative was a garden renovation at Rockingham General Hospital and taking care packs to the Children’s Ward.

Centrepoint Church launched Love Thy Neighbour in 2015, with more than 100 people donating more than 250 community service hours.

There has been a Retirement Homes Honour Day, car packs collected for the Lucy Saw Women’s Refuge and a free family carnival.
