Mr Coupland left the box at Rockingham Shopping Centre’s newest ice cream venture to collect funds for the World’s Greatest Shave, but thieves swiped the box and two weeks worth of donations.

‘When I went in to see how much money was in there, I felt heartbroken and thought ‘what cheeky low-lifes they are’, to steal from World’s Greatest Shave,’ he said.

First taking part in the event two years ago, Mr Coupland said shaving his head for children’s leukaemia research had become a ‘good tradition’ and one of the more worthy causes to collect money for.

Despite the unfortunate event, Mr Coupland was happy with the news Miller’s Ice Cream had pledged to set up a more secure collection box and match whatever money he raised.

Mr Coupland has also left donation boxes at Safety Bay Post Office, Bodrum Bay Cafe, United Cinemas Rockingham, Image Nail and Beauty, Hair Waves, Crossroads Cafe and Colourworks Shoalwater.

He will have his head shaved at Masters Baldivis on March 13.
