A ROCKINGHAM man was charged with reckless driving after allegedly evading police in Shoalwater on Saturday night.

Police claim the 27-year-old was driving erratically in a Mitsubishi Pajero, on Sabot Avenue in Shoalwater, around 10.45pm on December 10.

They further alleged that he failed to stop when requested and evaded police through streets in Shoalwater and Waikiki.

Police said the car lost control, hitting a brick wall and tree outside a house on McLarty Road in Waikiki.
