A BYFORD man appeared in court on Friday in relation to an incident where a 65-year-old Rockingham man was allegedly choked with his gold chain.

Rockingham Detectives charged a 36-year-old man as a result of their investigation into an incident in Rockingham on Tuesday, April 11.

About 4:30pm, the 65-year-old man was walking to his car which was parked in the Rockingham Shopping Centre car park.

As he neared his car he noticed a man walking behind and towards him.
