Man dead after fatal crash

POLICE are investigating a fatal traffic crash which left a man dead in Rockingham last night.

Major Crash officers are appealing for witnesses of a crash which occurred at the intersection of Dixon Road and Ennis Avenue at about 8.30pm.

A silver Holden Club Sport sedan, travelling north on Ennis Avenue, collided with a white Mitsubishi Star Wagin, travelling westerly on Dixon Road.

A 35-year-old man from Cooloongup, who was the driver of the Mitsubishi, died at the scene while his passenger, a 20-year-old man from Perth received minor injuries.

He was taken to Royal Perth Hospital.

The driver of the Club Sport, a 27-year-old woman from Warnbro and her passengers, a six-year-old girl from Warnbro and a 30-year-old male from Thornlie, sustained minor injuries.

They were taken to Rockingham Hospital.

Police would like to speak to anyone who saw the cars in the area, especially occupants or a large truck and white Toyota sedan, which were stationary at the intersection at the time.
