Man charged with murder after Warnbro fatal crash

A MAN has faced court accused of murdering one pedestrian and trying to kill another in a hit-and-run in Perth.

Michael Jon Delaney, 36, allegedly hit the two pedestrians with his car on The Avenue in Warnbro just before 1.30am on Easter Sunday then drove off.

A 42-year-old man died at the scene, while a 33-year-old was taken to Royal Perth Hospital where he is in a stable condition.

Delaney appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Monday charged with murder and attempting to unlawfully kill.

He was remanded in custody to appear in Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court next month.
