A MAN and woman copped hefty fines after they were caught with 15 undersized crabs at Coodanup Reserve.
Duncan Leo Moorcock and Tiffany Fredrieka Moorcock pleaded guilty to being in possession of totally protected fish and failing to provide Fisheries officers with information when they appeared in Mandurah Magistrates Court on Friday.
The Fisheries Department prosecutor said the pair were seen by fisheries officers putting a container in their boot on March 31.
When officers approached them, they denied having crabs. Fisheries officers found 15 undersized blue manna crabs.
The pair both, who both gave false dates of birth, were fined $800 each with a $750 penalty. They were granted a spent conviction.
