Mandurah historic child abuse allegations: Warnbro man charged

A 59-year-old Warnbro man was charged by Mandurah detectives following an investigation into historic child abuse allegations.

Detectives claim the man sexually assaulted a girl who was known to him, between 1994 and 1995.

The girl was 12-years-old at the time of the first offence.

The man was charged with two counts of sexual penetration of a child more than 13 years and fewer than 16 years, sexual penetration of a child more than 13 years of age, two counts of indecently dealing with a child fewer than 13 years of age and two counts of indecently dealing with a child more than 13 years and fewer than 16 years of age.

The man is due to appear in Mandurah Magistrates Court on April 26.

Detectives encourage victims of child abuse or people with information about abuse to call 131 444.
