Mandurah man charged with pharmacy armed robbery and attempted bank robbery

REGIONAL Investigations Unit officers charged a 48-year-old man after two alleged armed robbery incidents in the Mandurah district.

Police claim around 5.15pm on Friday, November 9 it a man entered a pharmacy along Halliburton Avenue, Warnbro and threatened staff with a firearm. Police said he left the area with a sum of cash.

The second incident occurred on Friday, November 16 when a man entered a bank on Kent Street at about 2.40pm. It is alleged he threatened staff with a firearm but left the area empty-handed.

A 48-year-old man from Mandurah was arrested yesterday and was charged with armed robbery and attempted armed robbery. He is due to appear in Rockingham Magistrates Court today.
