MEDINA student Jonathan Daly has been accepted into Curtin University’s John Curtin Leadership Academy.

The academy is Curtin’s premier undergraduate leadership program and aims to develop future leaders with community values and entrepreneurial spirit.

The JCLA program starts with an intense four-day leadership camp where they explore personal values, learn to work effectively in teams and are pushed to their limits.

At the end of the camp, students are then responsible for working in teams to manage a chosen community project effectively.

“My JCLA team are working with a not-for-profit called On my Feet, to improve recruitment and retention of participants,” Jonathan said.

“The On My Feet program aims to empower people, who are homeless and/or unemployed, through fitness and community engagement.

“OMF have chapters in Perth, Rockingham and Fremantle.”
