The distinctive $1.5 million church on the hillside looking across to Lake Walyungup is likely to become a landmark for travellers on Mandurah Road.

Pastor Stephen Hart (41) said the impressive building would become home to the church’s nearly 300 members who shared a church with a Rockingham congregation since 2007.

‘It is very exciting to see the church take shape from initial drawings to where it is now,’ he said.

‘The open day is a great opportunity for people to view this brand new facility in their local community and to find out more about us and our faith in God.’
