Major Crash investigate two deaths on WA roads

MAJOR Crash officers are investigating a fatal traffic crash in Rockingham on Saturday and another in the Great Southern on Thursday.

A white Toyota Prado was on Hargreaves Road in Rockingham at noon when it entered the intersection of Dixon Road and collided with a black Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 56-year-old man from Leda, received life threatening injuries and died on the way to Rockingham General Hospital.

The driver of the Toyota, a woman in her 40s, received minor injuries and is assisting police with their inquiries.

On Thursday, a 46-year-old man from Broomehill West died after his black Toyota Hilux utility was found crashed in a paddock at the intersection of Greenhills Road North and Broomehill-Kojonup Road after 6.20am.

Officers believe the vehicle had been travelling south on Greenhills Road when it left the road and hit a tree.

WA speed limits could be slowed by 10km/h

Major Crash officers would like to speak to anyone who saw the crashes or the vehicles before the crashes.
