RESIDENTS in parts of Singleton and Golden Bay are set to be able to experience the benefits of fast broadband, following the official switch on of the national broadband network in the area.
About 2700 homes and businesses in parts of those suburbs are now able to connect to nbn.
The latest switch on area is bordered by Mandurah Road in the east, Foreshore and Marillana drives in the west, Tangadee Reserve in the north, and Glew Street and Manders Way in the south.
Connecting to network is not automatic so residents should contact their phone or internet provider to make the switch.
There is now an 18 month countdown for these homes and businesses to make the switch before most existing landline phone and internet services are replaced by services over the nbn network.
You can find out whether you are eligible to connect to the nbn network as well as more information about the areas scheduled to complete the transition visit www.nbnco.com.au/switch.
