NBN ramps up in Rockingham

Vanessa SchmittWeekend Kwinana Courier

The NBN network first arrived in Rockingham in September and since then more than 5100 locals can connect across Rockingham, Shoalwater and Safety Bay.

Around 7200 additional homes and businesses in areas surrounding Rockingham, including Waikiki and Cooloongup, now have access to the NBN network’s download speeds, opening up a huge range of digital doors for local families and businesses. A further 3900 homes will have access before the end of the year.

Telstra area general manager Boyd Brown said the extension of Telstra services on the NBN network around Rockingham would give local businesses the ability to use a variety of new and emerging technologies made possible by fast and reliable broadband.
