The new, multi-purpose, state-of-the-art memorial and funeral service space is at 6-8 Robinson Place, Rockingham.

Construction started in November 2018. The aim was to create a bright, contemporary and unique facility, with state-of-the-art technology and catering amenities.

Location manager Jackie Thompson said the design of the venue incorporated consumer research, which showed that individuals want a funeral facility to provide the same sense of calm as a day spa.

“Based on this, we planned the aesthetic to be welcoming, light and elegant – a place to comfortably reflect, as well as joyfully commemorate, loved ones,” she said.

“The layout is comprised of a soothing reflection lounge, interior fountain, non-denomination chapel, two kitchens and two arrangement rooms.

“The lounges, kitchens and chapel are available for general public use, with abilities to deliver end-to-end event support, including catering.”

Ms Thompson said the building’s inviting, large scale spaces, convenient telecommunications equipment and catering make it perfect for seminars, community meetings, receptions, charity events and more.

The opening event included a plaque unveiling and Aboriginal blessing ceremony. In attendance were local dignitaries and community leaders, including Mayor Barry Sammels.
