Stage One of the park is already open and features climbing frames, a slide, outdoor fitness equipment, AFL goals and a barbecue area.

Stage Two is taking shape and will have sand play, a flying fox, four slides, a rope swing, nature play and barbecue facilities.

“This park will make a great addition to the other large parks in the suburb,” he said.

Jeremy Cordina, of Parcel Property, said the growing popularity of adventure playgrounds across Perth reflected the growing body of research supporting the importance of imaginative play in childhood development.

The official opening of the park is from 10am to 1pm. There will be a free Easter egg hunt, face painting, fairy floss, food trucks, a sausage sizzle and entertainment.
