“With the expansion of Secret Harbour and greater community diversity, we have recognised the need to provide more varied retail options to residents and we have responded to the Secret Harbour community accordingly,” she said.

“The community response has been overwhelmingly positive since the refurbishment of the existing Woolworths supermarket and its surrounding mall, and we anticipate the launch of Aldi will be met with the same enthusiasm, providing shoppers with a more enjoyable and convenient shopping experience.

“On completion of the expansion works next month, shoppers will have a range of grocery, dining and other convenience retail options available to choose from, to suit a range of budgets and preferences, and all in the one place.”

Along with the new Aldi supermarket, a number of new and existing specialty retailers will open : H & R Block, Secret Harbour Medical Centre, Priceline, Iconic Nails, Nick Stephan Hair Studio, Just 10 Quickcut, Sky Tree Massage, Clearwater Surf, Jeanswest, Rockmans, Noni B, Chicken Treat, Sapore Gourmet Pizza, Secret Harbour Fish & Chips, Sushi Master, Subway, Secret Harbour Vietnamese, Dancin Wok, Brumby’s, Smithfields Finefoods, Jamaica Blue, Lenard’s, Wild Posy, Secret Harbour Post Office, The Lucky Charm newsagent, Smokemart, Mister Minit, Escape Travel and Volona & Associates.

Bendigo Bank and Adore Threading & Beauty are opening soon.

To celebrate the unveiling of Secret Harbour Square, shoppers will receive a special gift with every minimum spend until Sunday, May 21.

They will also be treated to family entertainment and performances from local schools and the opportunity to be rewarded with gift cards to spend at the centre.

Ms Keatings anticipated minimal disruption to shoppers as the final construction works were completed ahead of the June 23 official opening.

“Retailers still to open and to be part of the grand opening in June include Dome cafe, Funky Mex restaurant and the new Coles supermarket, as well as other speciality stores,” she said.
