NSW fires a timely reminder for WA

City of Rockingham Mayor Barry Sammels said residents of all areas needed to act before bushfire season started.

‘Last year, we experienced more than 3800 fires across WA and by acting now, individuals can help reduce the impact of bushfires by taking precautionary measures around their properties,’ he said.

DFES Operations Deputy Commissioner Lloyd Bailey urged residents to get together with their friends and neighbours to organise a street meet or busy bee in their area.
