Opinion: controversy follows Constance Hall, but Baldivis appearance cancellation on another level

Opinion: controversy follows Constance Hall, but Baldivis appearance cancellation on another level

LOVE her or loathe her, controversy seems to follow mummy-blogger Constance Hall.

The social media celebrity from Fremantle had to pull-out of a public appearance at Stockland Baldivis shopping centre after threats were made. There were fears for the safety of Constance, her family and event patrons.

Constance told her 1 million Facebook followers, her management team had pulled away from the event due to too many threats of violence made.

“For the first time they and Stocklands shopping centre believed a public appearance to be too dangerous,” she said.

“We are used to haters, but Stocklands shopping centre has had to delete some threats that were just on another level.

“I don’t really know what else to say.

“All tickets are being refunded.

“I hope to get us all together really soon, maybe somewhere safer and less public.”

It is appalling that a charity event was cancelled by cyber-bullying.

In an act of goodwill, Stockland Baldivis pledged to donate the $2500 due to be raised by the charity event to its Stockland Care Foundation partner.
