Orelia house filled with smoke after a fire this morning

FIRE crews are at the scene of a house fire in Orelia.

A Department of Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said the fire at a house on Partridge Street was reported at 10.54am.

Six fire crews attended and found the house engulfed by flames, but the fire was confined to a room at the rear of the property.

There was no one home at the time.

The fire was put out by 11.30am.

Fire fighters are still at the scene to assess a cause and damage estimate.
