Orelia man charged with armed robbery and evading police

REGIONAL Investigations Unit officers have charged a 22-year-old Orelia man with a number of offences relating to armed robbery and an evade police incident through the northern suburbs yesterday.

The man was charged with aggravated armed robbery, two counts of stealing a motor vehicle, possessing a prohibited drug (amphetamine) two counts of reckless driving, failing to stop and no authority to drive.

He was due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today.

Police were still searching for another man yesterday, who they believe was involved and was armed with a firearm.

Police were also looking for a grey VE Holden Commodore utility.
